Hilton Lodge Residential Care Home
Hilton Lodge is a small care home in North Finchley .Under the National Care standard Act 2000, the home is registered by National care standards Commission to provide care services to the elderly and infirm people and for those who suffers from dementia related illnesses.
Our Aims.
Our aims is to provide a warm and supportive environment where quality care can be delivered by means :
- To provide an environment in which the Residents physical needs can be met.
- We aim to empower residents to live, for as long is required in a comfortable home with the opportunity of enhancing their quality of life. This will be achieved by providing support and stimulation to help residents maximize their potential emotionally, physically, intellectually and socially all within a homely atmosphere.
- To provide an environment in which the Residents emotional and spiritual needs can be met
- To develop an atmosphere within the establishment which will encourage Residents to practice self determination
- To establish a sensitive client centre assessment procedure
- To encourage Residents within the establishment to maintain close links with staff, family and friends
- To ensure anti-discriminatory practices are encouraged and followed within the establishment in terms of race, religion, age and gender.
- Residents are treated as individuals. The rights of individuals should be taken into account at all times. This includes the right of self determination to the extent that residents are able to exercise this right, to make choices, decision and also deciding the quality of care.
Our Objectives are:
- A multidisciplinary approach to provide care and support.
- A resident focus risk and needs assessment.
- Person-centre plan reflecting clear and realistic goals.
- Provision of key workers who are experienced in caring for elderly people and people with dementia
- Provision of 24 hours care and On Call registered manager at all times.
- On going staff training.
- Interaction of residents within the home and the local community.
- Promote residents to live as independent as possible and have respect for their privacy, dignity and choice.
- Providing high quality and effective care as well as safe and secure environment in which to live.
- Maintain a pleasant homely environment of warmth, love and friendship. Where friends and families and staff are welcomed.
- The residents are encouraged to participate in decisions about the daily activities in the home.
- Providing group activities such as gardening, arts and crafts, sing-along and gentle exercise, shopping, and visiting places of interest (e.g. cinema). Also providing one-to-one sessions where residents can follow their own hobbies and interests.
- Responding to the needs of residents from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- To encourage them to develop expressive skills and enable them to voice their wishes as well as to utilise the complaint procedure fully.
- Committed to the review process, to ensure the home is meeting the current needs of the resident, also identifying when it is not.
